I was gonna be going to the LFS ran by a friend tomorrow to let these guys get the chance of a new home as I was planning on changing the stocking of the tank, but after hand feeding some pellets tonight and taking a couple of pictures I'm not sure now, I like them, as dull coloured and simple as they may be I think they are great!

ps, anyone help with sexing?

Sorry about the pic quality, quick fish and an iPhone camera don't go well!

personally don't know why people change their stocking, I mean you don't swap your dog or cat, child or hamster for new ones so why swap your fish?

They're some nice sevs if you ask me

Thanks very much!

I'm new to fish keeping and inherited these 3 from a friend, also I recently upgraded from a very small tank that (only realised after joining the forum) however, it turns out that the tank I have upgraded to 120L Juwel Rekford is still not big enough either.

+1 - I am having a hard enough job of getting round to re-homing some of my (used to be baby) rotkeils now that they are getting bigger....

Ouch, I think you need to upgrade to a proper sized tank...4ft minimum is what you need! You know you want to...

Yeh, I know about the tank, its not terribly small, ideally bigger but will it "do" just now?

Any idea on sex?

You've not actually said how big they are, I assume they're around 3" right now? They'll grow fast so I am not sure how long you have before a bigger tank is really really needed...and then the bigger tank needs to be minimum 4ft and 100g really, especially for 3 of them....

Not 100% on the sex but they all look to be male (more iffy about the 1st) due to facial markings but the pics aren't great

You might want to consider rehoming 2 of them if they're all males, depending on tank size if you do buy bigger

Are the ok kept as a single? I thought the were all makes too, the vary in size from around 2.75 to possible 3 inch then the smallest at around 2-2.25inch.
The pics above are from smallest to largest.

If you has the room keep them till you have to let them go. 3 might fight so then you will have to pick the one you want.

Dull color haha just wait they get better with age. Severums are some of the best fish I have ever kept I would never let mine go. I agree why change stock around if it works.
