Cant keep a steady ph

well i use RO water from my lfs and its mostly PH 7 but i so have PH problems as i have a CO2 system in my tank and that lowers my PH but a water change would usually fix it. and my fish don't really mind the acidity.
U have co2 system on tank in sig

If your pH is dropping you have a problem with the KH (carbonate hardness) being too low. As already suggested by someone further up adding a small bag of crushed coral to the tank or filter will buffer the water and keep the pH stable.

Tropjunky, if you are having pH problems with R/O water then i suggest you are not using the correct additives to remineralise and stabilise the water, i suggest using KENT pH stable and KENT R/O right which will stabilise the water for you. Unstable pH is a major cause of stress and early demise in fish, id get it sorted ASAP.

Well, here when I first moved to this new house, I thought my water was bad because it's like liquid rock (300ppm) or more. But turns out I have steady ph at like 7.6, and it stays that way in my tanks almost unchanged between weekly water changes. A blessing in disguise. In my experience, your ph level is not nearly as important as STEADY ph, and i'm glad I don't have that problem. You need to maybe add a little aquarium, or pickling/canning salt to your water man. Like maybe a tablespoon every 10 gallons. Almost all freshwater fish can handle that amount, and it may help stabilize your water.

Cheers for the help folks I will be checking water hardness when I get home.
