Can't Get Rid Of Fin Rot

Thank you very much for all your help. The betta and platys seem fine together. They pretty much ignore each other. There are a lot of places to hide in the tank. Rest??? What is that?

My oldest turns 3 in September and other one is 3 months...I feel for you! Be prepared for no sleep! Still better than being pregnant, in my opinion. Good luck!

thanks,
yeah us blokes do get it easier in that aspect i guess..... :hey:

i wish your tank and fish all the best :good:

good news that the ich has cleared, well done :good:

just explain to the lfs that they sold you a fish thats unsuitable for your tanksize and they should take it back.

if the betta doesnt mind the platys then i would keep them together and just have 1 fish in cycle instead of 2 otherwise you will be doing twice the water changes which is twice the work and twice the cost of dechlor etc... and with babies about twice of anything isnt good except twice as much rest maybe..... if only..... :/

if the betta really doesnt get on with the platys then i think you have to either seperate them in different tanks or again return 1 or the other.
maybe try giving him a place to hide if there isnt already a place so he can escape the hustle and bustle of the platys for a while.

They wouldn't take the pleco back, even for free. I will post on some sites that he needs a home hopefully someone will take him.

f you have the carbon in, whilst medicating the water, the carbon will counter act the medication (meaning the meds will have no effect).
