My Betta tank is on my desk so this morning as per ususal I rolled over and the first thing I look to is my bettas, oh thats nice Sams built a nest I thought ( thinking his last spawn was unsuccessful and now he's rested up!)

in the next door tank is gem also resting up...hold on gems not there.....moment of total panic..... I looked back to Sams tank and they are wrapping under his nest!!!!!! she must have breached her tank landed in his and spawned over night! What are the chances!

its great but unplanned I have times in the next couple of months when Im not here! time to inlist family members and house mates. Cant believe they orchestrated their own spawn and gem has risked life and lim for it!!!!!!!!

Where there is a will, there is a way! Little buggers arn't they lol. I caught my new girl and Teqs together the other morning, luckily nothing had started yet. How many eggs do you think you have?

I lot Im guessing they are still at it and its been well over an hour!!!! she is picking up eggs and putting them in the nest as I speak, I cant get her out because they are both staying under the nest!

They were at it well over an hour before I took her out and now dad is looking after the eggs. I will post pics when I can find the camera cable!

Awww.....good luck with them this time. I've got my fingers crossed for you :good:

Thank you Netty I am calmer your right, partly because they did all the planning so I dont feel so responsible!!! They must have really liked each other last time, or Gem really liked Sam! I didnt realise they could just spawn so quickly to be fair I have been feeding them up so they could recoup after last time. ( just in case anyone is reading this thinking its that easy! its not, this is purely a lucky by chance senario breeding and pairing bettas is hard and needs research)

LOL.....I was thinking that when I read your post!!!! They took the worry out of your hands and just got on with it. Hopefully you'll see some wrigglers later tonight or in the morning :good:

Spot the fry! I dont know why the other picture went on my first post clearly im not a dab hand with the computers!
