Hi,

I was at my local fish shop yesterday to get the last few little bits of live rock for my tank. They put all their rock in an unlit tank so although you can see size, shape and colour, you can't really see if there is anything else on there. To my suprise, I got my rock into my tank and found this anemone (about 2 cm diameter) and another one just like it on one piece of rock. Any chance someone could identify it so that I could find out lighting levels and water flow rate?

Thanks, Adam.

Me too, but some majanos will have that look to them. You got a very pretty one.

I'm almost certain, it's a majano. A pest anemone, not as invasive as aiptasia. Hehe, personally, I'd keep it until it becomes a problem, then zap it with Joe's Juice. Many majanos are actually rather pretty. :)

haha, dunno, just thought it looked like a torch coral, and obviously made up an anemone in my head ;)
