ponds are easy!!

not as easy in the summer but a quick rinse of the sponges each week in the summer and your done.

then once a year or so a complete overhaul.

ours is underfiltered and has algae problems so 60% water changes once or twice a month for me, just so you can see a few inches in plus cleaning out the filter and tubes each time and catching grass and anything else that get's in the pond with a net, even without the pond i am hard pressed to maintain the tank with school and work and homework

 I think you can never have to many tanks if you are prepared to put the time and effert into each and everyone. I only have 2 at the moment and they arent large tanks problem being i live in upstairs flat the landlord lives under me. He worries that they will burst and flood him out :/. I know as soon as i get into my house then there will be more tanks, as long as there is enjoyment in this hobby and you dont mind the maintanence then what the heck !!!!!! :fun:

How about kids and a house ... my eight year old says "there is more to life then fish ... dad"

I still want to cut a hole in the living room wall someday :hyper:

I am having visions of a future tank..... Even bigger catfish tank.... 200G+...

And thats just the start. I read on a website about a guy in Holland who was building a tank in his back garden, housed in a warehouse that was about 18x20x6 foot..... now THAT would be awesome.

Ben
theres a guy on another forum im on that is building a terrarium with a big like 36' pool to have sharks in

I have a few nicely sized tanks and some small ones scattered about, that's good for now, but someday I want 2 huge tanks

After about 35 years in this hobby, I finally have the opportunity to have a fish room, and I currently have about 40 tanks up and running with around 15 more waiting to be set up as the need arises. I am sure that there comes a point where you have too many tanks to properly take care of. But until you reach that point, you are doing what you enjoy doing (taking care of your tanks, being around your fish), and you are always coming up with ideas to make maintenance easier and less time consuming.
After all, if maintenance is easier, you can set up a few more tanks then, can't you? :p
