Can I Use This Sealant/Silicone

I have pebbles to silicone together to keep them safe from falling on fish, now you might laugh but not sure whether to use it as i have read you need to buy tropical friendly for fish tank silicone, except mine is from B&Q, it is a translucent all purpose sealant, it is water resistant, paintable and flexible not that im gonna paint the pebbles, im not that silly, but if somebody could give me some advice on whether i can use it i would really appreciate it, many thanks guys me!!!

Aslong as the silicone says "Aquaria Safe" or something along those lines, then its fine. If not i wouldn't take the chance.

Ok thank you, it does not say anything like that suitable for aquariums, think its more for kitchens, baths and building stuff, where can i purchase aquaria safe silicone from or do you recomend anything else i can use to hold my pebbles together please? Is there a web site that sells the aquari safe silicone???

Or you could try Ebay, just tyoe in aqaurium silicone

almost anywhere, will sell stuff thats safe. just check the instructions. no need to buy Aquarium specific stuff, its the same as all the rest.


places like B&Q, boat/caravan centres, hard ware shops and car boots, will all have some if you look. i use Hodgson's clear £3 310ml tube. but anything with the legend "aquarium safe" IS!
