Can I Leave Lights On 48 Hrs?

Oh crap!! I have to leave town unexpectedly early tomorrow AM and I haven't bought a aquarium light timer yet. I'll only be gone for about 48 hours... should I turn my lights off or leave them on? I don't want my plants to shivel up, but I definately don't want to hurt my fish either. Does it stress the fish out to leave the lights on?
