hi when i had my malawi tank set up last i had ocean rock and coral sand and mbuna's in my 5ft tank but i closed it down and sold everything.
keeped other fish now wld like to go bk to bmuna's malawi's cichlids only tank again
at the moment my tank has gravel bogwood and 12 breeding L182 bristlenose and around 8 wild cought pleco's and community fish in the tank

wld like to keep the bristlenose and pleco's if poss but can move them to my other tank thats a corner one

any idea's on to go abt going abt this wld great, as was thinking abt using pebbles and slate and piping as caves
any input wld be great thanks for looking

well, I would initially move the plecs while you're cleaning out their tank. Then change everything over. The plecs should be fine w/the mbuna. ALot of people have them together. Sometimes the plecs do get picked on, sometimes not.

What exactly are you wanting to know?

if i can keep my bristlenose and pleco's in with the mbuna's

been told that my L182 bristlenose like softer water and low in ph so they are going to be moved to another just for them they like black water so going to try and sort that out

thx for your replying

yep, you're welcome. BP do prefer lower ph than african's but often do well anyway. Quite a few fish species are adaptable/flexible as far as ph is concerned. One thing that's not is salinity variations.
