Can I Have The Common Plec With The Bn Plecs In A 24 Gallon Tank

here is my tank at the mo

24 gallon UK
4 adults guppies
15 fry
1 common plec
3 scissor tails

50 gallon UK
nothing in there


ok i would like to breed BN plecs & Rams
but
i have a 50 g which i would like the common plec to go in but if i breed rams in the 50 gallon
the plec would eat the eggs
& i wouldl like to breed BN plecs in the 25 gallon
so can i have the common plec in the 25 gallon UK with the BN plecs or would the plecs fight
the common plec would only be in there for about 4 months until i move him to my 50 g

Just my opinion - but if you're going to move the common plec to the 50g tank in 3-4 months, I think it will be OK as long as the common pleco is still young - like not longer than 4 inches.

A 24g is to small for common plecos as they can get up to 2 feet in length then need a 120g minimum but the 50g will be better than the 24g. Why don't you transfer the fish you have in your 24g to the 50g then breed the rams in the 24g?

in my experience the angels will eat fry! Unless they are quite large.

you're going too fast. just slow down.

IMO you should not breed then angels now as you don't have the space (angels caqn produce MASSIVE spawns)

Just keep the pair of rams in the 24gal to live and breed in peace by themselves.
OR
Do the same with a pair of BN's.

If you want angels you are going to have to get rid of your guppies because Angels eat guppies.
SO if you want to keep your guppies stay away from angels.

And if i were you i would either take the common plec back or sell him to a good home, because as stated before he will get far too large.

The only way to make a real difference is to use a mix of tap water and RO water.

24G is too small for Angels.
