Buying Fish

Hi Andrew and welcome to TFF.

For that type of question it will help a lot if you post your location (you can look at how others do it) in your profile. Members in the country or area where you live will be able to give you more specific information that way. Because shorter shipping entails less risk for live fish, most online transactions of this type are more local.

I have never bough off of the internet. But I find the rare fish I want through my local fish forum, usually they know about local breeders that will give you a better deal than an online store. Check and see if your area has a local fish club like mine.

There are some good LFS in or near s####horpe - you shouldn't need to buy online.

You might consider sitting down and talking to that local fish shop owner. Often the lack of variety is more a case of not knowing what people might want and if you can give them a clue of what would sell, they are often open to ordering in those fish on a trial basis. You get your fish and the shop gets a hint on what might sell locally, you both win.
