Top or Topless

When I need a new lid, I often find it's a lot cheaper to go to the local glass shop and ask them if they have any scraps they can cut to size for me. I do the lid as two pieces and glue a handle of some sort to one so it's easy to open.
It’s very easy to make your own tops and going to the glass shop with your dimensions usually gives you a better fitting lid than you can buy . An easy hinge is to mask off the hinge with masking tape ( a couple layers thick ) and use silicone sealant as the hinge . A guy in an aquarium shop showed me that .

Regarding covers, I agree with @Colin_T

As for your cory, it is a bit pale perhaps due to the light-colored gravel and/or stress. Is he a new addition? Does he have the company of at least 6 of his own? That said, it appears to be Hoplisoma albinolineatum, which has been widely imported of late.
I only have two corys, Bronze, and although they seem and appear happy enough I'm worried that there aren't enough. I only have a 10g tank though so can't really accommodate more

in all fairness, I do have a few coveted tanks, I'll show a few styles, even though I shouldn't, I've been doing water changes , but have not cleaned these glass panels in 6 months...

this is a 65 gallon Tilapia breeding tank, it uses sized, cut plate glass, and some pretty thinly cut stainless pieces bent into angles... it has a Tidal 75 in the back ( center ) with stainless pieces on each side... a long thin stainless bent angle in the center, that supports the back side of 2 pots, one each, in the front corners, and the back edge of a piece of glass between the pots, with handles siliconed on. ( BTW, a piece of fly paper is across the top of the hob filter to catch flys attracted to the lights, as this is in my entry way...

this is a 45 gallon, also has Tilapia in it, a Tidal 75 on the back, not centered, this uses a wider piece of plate glass, with silicone attached handles, and with stainless angle pieces on each side of the filter
