Sorry I've not updated my tank sig. Anyway got home tonight and found that a lovely bubble nest and very attentive male is in the 60 litre, the female still is trying to go up to him, but on most occasions he is chasing her away. At one point I did see him accept her and there was the wrapping then he chased her away. So has the deed been done. Do I leave her in there or remove her and leave the male to tend to the nest. I've raised many fry from other type of fish but not Gourami. so all info will be well digested. :good:

I think you're suppose to remove the female & leave the male to tend the nest until they are free swimming then remove the male??

Not 100% though,so may be best for a expert to come along :)

congrats by the way :good:

Are they DG's - i'm only asking because i've been trying to breed mine with little success,he builds the nest, then nothing??
What temp is your tank? Thanks :)

26dg the same as my other tanks. Update, bubble nest is gone but can see small things. hanging near the surface of the water. so fingers crossed.

Brilliant Jane. Really pleased for you. :) I think I have another 2 spot from the fry you gave me. :p

O h Brill, also to let you know on the krib front three of them are showing nice pink belly's. Got to get another tank soon :hyper:

Sounds like you did well out of them then, especially after our initial worry of them all being males. Don't suppose you want any rainbow cichlids? Lol. Got another batch of wrigglers to go with the 150 odd 2 week old fry. Lol.

well I defo have wrigglers, wow that is so quick. Will move mum, should I leave dad for a bit more? I havent any fry food, but the tank they are in is very well established (3 years +)so there should be plenty for them to sustain them. I have also been grinding up flake food. any other usefull info greatly appreciated. :hyper:
