no ive updated my profile now i have 3 guppys , 2 mollies, 6 tetras ,3 white clouds,3 albino corys 4 dwarf gouramis and 1 pleco (giving my pleco to my uncle hes got a HUGE tank)
i got corys and plecos mixed up before.

Actually, brown algae's normally due to not enough light.
This sounds like the same stuff I've got and it's not the same as the brown algae that dies from additional light. It goes wild with more light. Mine looks similar to cotton candy and is on everything. It doesn't really attach tightly and you can usually remove it with a gravel vac but it's right back 24 hours later. I've had it ever since I added new plants Easter weekend. Nothing seems to help. The LFS near me now has Florida Flag Fish. i am considering adding a couple to see if they do any good.
