Hi

I've got two bristlenose plecos in a 125 litre heavily planted. The amazon swords are starting to get holes in them. Just so that i can rule it out if not, do bristlenose plecos eat plants :good:

Thanks

Hello, I have 3 BN Plecs in 3 different tanks all with plants and I have never noticed any damage to any plants.

However the Plecs are great for cleaning any trace of Algea off of plant leaves :good:

They shouldn't eat leaves, holes in leaves is normally a C02 problem. Got any pics?

Was bout to say cud b lack of Potassium in tank but i think lookin at that pic sumin is eattin them i wud say.

Can u tell us all the fish in the tank to c if u hav a plant eatin fish that u dont no bout. Wot bout snails can u c any in ur tank

That doesn't look like a C02 problem, i'd agree that something is eating them.

I've never seen any type of pest snail. I've got two angels, 5 red wagtail platies, 5 neons, and of course 2 bristlenose plecos :good:
If Bristlenose were very hungry, would they eat plant matter?

My Bristlenose will eat holes in my dwarf amazon swords if not fed every other day like normal. He wont normally eat any of the more delicate leaved or waxy leaved plants though, just the tougher, more rigid leaves. :hyper:

any sword plant I've tried with my BN are destroyed by the morning.
