I avoid breeding traps but do have one for an emergency. I much prefer lots of cover and the female in a growout tank that she can come out of as soon as the fry are born. The other option with things like endlers and ameca splendens is to just set up a tank with lots of cover and realize that some will be lost. The endlers don't actively hunt fry so most will survive. The amecas are big enough at birth to survive in a typical livebearer environment.

I love them as they help you save lots of fry but im not using it anymore as i am overxtocked with fry so my fry stay in the main tank and out of 29 3 live.

good luck with the net ,
I find that having something for the fry to hide in at the bottom helps too, i used one of them mini teracotta plant pots, the fry hide in and mum cant get to them.

hmmm i was thinking of that i thnk the fry can get eat'n even with a plant inserted cus it's not really seperated at all. i will switch back to normal box breeder lol.
