Breeding Guppies:d

Best thing i found for fry was lots and lots of plants and rocks for them to hide in. I have sucessfully reared fry in tanks with other fish jsut by providing enough hiding spaces. Java moss in brilliant for hiding fry if you can get hold of some.

Breeding is easy, get 1 male and 2-3 females and you will soon have plenty of fry.

Your going to be waiting a good while for those goldfish to die. If you dont want them might i suggest you rehome them to a pond or someone with a larger tank, since i can proberbly guarantee the tank they are in at the moment is not big enough.

Good luck.

I have just read your other thread and am glad to hear your rehoming those goldfish :D
:d:D i still dnt know if i shud get a bigger tank it must be cheap as well and i crnt get any over internet etc:/

thats good because the guppies may eat a few which im dreading  but nature must takes it course my pet shop will be happy to BUY :hyper: a few healthy ones and i predict i'd only have 30% of the fry to keep my self and im looking at a 60liter tank now

EDIT:any1 know a big around 40-100liter tank thats cheap

Where abouts are you based? theres a place in swindon which are selling their old tanks after doing a refurb, i got a 70L divided tank for £5 and have now taken the divide out with no leaks as its one tank and a panel.

They have about 16 left.

just who don't know, it is illegal to release something into the wild that has been in an aquarium at any point in time, even if it is back into the water that it came from, this is to stop the spread of disease and invasive species
i don't know about the U.K. but it is definately illegal in north america
