Breeding Blue Rams, Without Much Success, Help!

Hi everyone. I became a fishkeeper back in my 2008 so I am still new to it all. I bought a pair of blue rams in september and almost immediately they started to breed. I decided to give it a go properly after it broke my heart to see the male trying to defend the eggs when the clown loaches attacked. Since I moved them into their own a tank a (rekord 70) they spawn every 4 weeks but they never go past the egg stage. Some of the eggs stay opaque for a day but then they go white. The male defends the eggs, even chasing off the female but after a day the male starts to eat the eggs.

I would appreciate any help and suggestions as I've read up about it on the internet but the articles I've read mention nothing about the problems I'm experiencing. Thanks

rams are useless at breeding for the first few months, but they get better at it over time, and eventually you should get a good batch. where the eggs have been looked after by the parents
