Hi guys. Well my Hondauran red points bread a little while ago in their community tank and not suprisingly not many survivors.
Ive now seperated the 4 larger (2males 2females i think...)fish.
I never saw andthing unusual and wouldnt have guess they were spawning untill i saw my angels chasing somthing the getting rammed around and fighting with MOST of my HRP's.
So now they have settled into their new tank what should i look for? Colours apear to have become more visable today and on 2 of the 4 their bars have deepened in colour. So would this be a sign? There doesnt seem to be any obvious pairs but MAYBE the two with their deeper bars??? Anyway any clues as too breeding would be greatly recieved. Thanks in advance guys and gals

Look for them to pick a piece of rock or a cave that they are partial to. They will clean it (normally the female) for several days and the male and female both might be seen digging holes around the tanks. There will also be a breeding tube that will descend more noticeably from the female the day or so before they breed. Their colors will become more intsense and once the eggs are laid the female will look like she has anorexia and her colors will fade a tad. They are almost identical to convicts in behavior, looks, eating and breeding habits.

Thanks for the info mate.
I have to dissagree on 1 part though. Their nothing like cons in the sence that
Mine havnt killed anything in a community tank, and they also eat differently. Other than that thanks
