Hi,
I know that there are several methods of breeding the golden lyretail killifish ( spawning mops, peat, coconut fibre) but given the right water conditions and a varied diet could you simply let them spawn in java moss and then leave the eggs to hatch with the parents without, say, removing them to a separate container?

Natural spawning methods are preferred in most cases but will yield a smaller amount of fry due to predation.
If you are not aiming to raise lots of fry then this method does fit the bill nicely.
Please be aware that males sometimes do not tolerate other males in confined spaces and some may become bullied.
Regards
C
