Bought some marine sand have some questions..

and i was wondering some basic info on what to do when i get it and what i expect it should do like the water conditions and such... also what are some good plants like grass for this kind of gravel...and i was thinking of making it a tropical tank ill post pics as soon as i get new batteries...lol btw its a 10 gallon with a mini penguin bio-wheel

I looked at that page and it says it won't alter your pH or hardness. That is a claim I would most definitely check. Many tropical marine sands are made of crushed coral and other calcareous matter which most definitely will increase yur pH and hardness. Put some of it in some vinegar and see if it reacts at all. If it does, don't use it in a freshwater tank unleass you are looking to keep a Rift Valley system.
