Boiling Water?

Hi, is it safe to use boiling water to raise the temperature of tap water when doing water changes?

So your filling a bucket with cold water then adding boiling water to get temperature up?

If so then yes that fine, just dont poor boiling water direct in to tank, or make the tank water have a sudden temperature change.

I've heard that hot water can strip copper from the tap? Although It's just something i read on this site from another user
