bog wood

hi everybody this is the first time i have ever wrote on this forum and hope you will find it in your heart to write bac i have bogwood in my tank and wood just like to know what the slimy coating on some of the bog wood is it doesent harm the fish but looks unsightly i was told that it could be tannin help me

What colour is it? It could be algae.
