Bn Just Spawned! First Time!

Hi everyone,
After some sort of problem in the tank i took the entire tank apart, and finding nothing. I made my mind up to take down the tank on the weekend, as i am busy with uni during the week. Anyway tonight i take a look into the tank because i saw the BN's in the cave before lights out (12am). Shine a flash light into the log i saw them in and boom, eggs! Probably aboug 50+ from the looks of things. So now im all excited and wont be taking down my tank.

Im just wondering, would it be possible to trasnfer my fish from 4 footer to the 10G tank with my shrimp and baby shrimp in the morning so that fry and eggs are not harmed by fish. I would ofcourse keep them in tank water in a tub or something so no air is touching them.

My plan is tub down next to the log, pick up daddy and log and eggs, into the tub. Tub into 10G and reverse order.

10G has same paramters and temp.

Would this be possible at all? I really want to raise these fry to keep me going with this tank.

P.S Mods sorry for posting here, but this area gets ALOT more traffic, and my first spawn so im quite excited and it will keep my hobby going rather than losing the tank.

firstly .., congrat i love it when my bns spawnn ... its in the filter but no ones perfect ... because of this i have to move th eggs every time .... i dont think you should move em personaly ... the dad will look after them realy well ... if you wana keep em in a sperate tank ... do so when they are a bit older... bns ar a bit more of a fish to watch rather than a fish to interfier with. mine spawn every month n i get a new batch of young uns

Im just worried they will be eaten. After my disaster there are 2 bolivian rams, a bunch of guppies, a molly, 2 cories (have spawned once but havnt since then), 3 leopard danios (pretty sure they spawn all the time, but eggs get eaten), and 4 BNs total (only one have spawned i think...), and 3 Appistogramma Agassizii in there. Dont wanna lose them, its because of them im actualy not ripping down my tank right now.

Ive heard people trasnfer them, eggs and daddy and log all at once. But i wanted others opinions on this.

So if no one else advises different, guess their staying..

Id recomend leaving them there, the dad will keep them safe

Ok. At what point should i trasnfer them to the 10G for growing?

you wont .. thats the thing the dad WILL protect them .... i had angels with mine n dey were ok .... if you realy wana transfer them ... wear some gloves ... my bn male injured me pretty bad when i moved the coconut cave ... u can remove them for the water but dont do it for too long to be safe .. mine were out of the water for about 10 minute withou me realising .. i put em in .. 3 days late 30 very healthy fry

Hmm guess ill see how they go in the tank. If i see any getting eaten then ill remove them. Or might remove a frew for growing out for myself

How big are they usually when they leave the cave?
