I have always wanted a blue lobster and have set up a seperate tank to get one.

Ive read up about them but just wondered if anyone who has or had one had any helpfull tips or general advice about them.

the tank is 30 gallon.

cheers for any info.

What do you want to know?

30 gallons is a good size...
You won't be able to keep plants with it... It'll eat them.

they can be semi-aggressive and
will catch and eat sickly and dying fish
other than that ok for community aquariums
with fast fish.

Not true. I have a Blue Marron (Cherax tenuimanus) and she had a habit of snipping at ANYTHING that goes by, including Plecos, angels, balas(FAST fish) et al.

I seperated her, and my tropical tank is much better off.

Basically it should be kept alone, or with some feeder goldfish.

Here is a site and forum with great info www.bluecrayfish.com

This guy also sells crays.

You have to send an e-mail to get registered due to spam control but it's worthwhile, these people know their stuff.
