Blue Gouramis And Changing Colour

Hi there.

I have a blue gourami and I have heard that they change colour depending on what mood they are in.

Mine is a male and changes quite frequently. From grey spots to a light blue with green on the fins.

Any ideas on which colour and what mood he is in? I know a bit of a strange one and quite hard to tell. Just curious if anyone knows what the answer is

If he is grey or any other dull colour, he is probably stressed.

My blue gourami only really changed colour during breeding (when their colours where more intense). I've not observed any other changes in colour. They can be a little bit boisterous at times.
