Hi. Just bought 6 Blue Emperor Tetras for my new 260L set and put them in with my shoal of Zebra Danios (neurotic little devils aren't they) and a few other non shoaling fish. The tetras are smaller than the Danios but they have decided to shoal with them rather than asserting their own independence as a shoal, zipping around like lunatics as the Danios always do. Should I have expected this, and will they eventually detach themselves as a group. Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

you will probably find they have joined the danios as a way of increasing their appearance against the other larger species you have.
you might want to increase the size of the shoal so they feel more secure in their own shoal.
if not an option as they grow they might seperate from the danios anyway with more confidence
