Blue angels?

Does anyoneknow of any types or strains of Angel Fish that carry any blue pigmentation?

Welcome to the forum Shovelman. I found this post isolated from view in the species index and moved it here so that other people could see it.
I have seen some angels at club auctions that had a bit of a blue tint to them. I act as a runner at the auctions so I get to see everything up close.

I'm new to angles but I have one female that is really blue. The male was bought as a blue but is not nearly as blue as his mate. So I think he has the gene but just did not turn out as blue. Like how I my dad has blue eyes. I have brown but my daughter got blue eyes. There is no way to know if a fish will produce blue fish or breed true unless you know what the parents were.

Snowflake's female was sold to me as a Philippine Blue. There is a guy in the Philippines, Ken Kennedy, who selectively bred these for the blue. Snowflake's male is 1/2 Philippine Blue and 1/2 German Blue according to the seller. I got them off of aquabid. You can go there and see more.

Snowflake, is that male behaving himself. He was one feisty devil. Hope all is well.

My LFS has some "Smokey Blue" Angels. They are a pale grey with a bluish tinge to them.
They are quite small still, so hard to tell what they would look like eventually.

I have seen an advert on Aquarists Classified for some Smokey Blue's. Really cheap. So I have placed an order for 2!

Mine spawned again this time there are a lot more eggs. The male was going crazy after the magnet cleaner when I moved it. These guys grow fast.

Arrive today. Very excited.
I went for 2 x smokey blues, 2 x gold veil tails and 1 x black marbles.

What do you feed yours?
I feed all my fish Tetra Prima.

Well the fish are a bit smaller than I thought. Never mind. They seem ok, and am sure they will grow quickly.

I also try and vary food as much as I can.
But the staple I use is the Tetra Prima in the morning. And then something else in the evening.
