Bloodworm Everyday?

i would recommend tossing in a bit more cucumber and leasing up a bit on the bloodworms. but the frontosa probly loves those bloodworms too. you have to be cautious with that frontosa though. i would suggest googling malawi bloat or asking about in the african forums. ive heard of it and it doesnt sound like something you want. i think it occurs from too much protien.

sorry for the hijack scot

I feed two blocks of bloodworm a DAY. Plus 1 cube of daphnia, pinch of flakes, pinch of wafers, and an algae tab or two. It's all gone within 30 seconds usually.

Chuck in some veg when I have it in the house. Give them two or 3 days with no food on a totally random basis. Everyone just eats what they want and are all quite happy.

This is a question with no correct answer, different fish have different dietry requirements and require varying ammounts of proteins.

For example tetras which are insectovors in the wild require quite a protein rich diet to mimick their natural food but a plec which mainly feeds on algea in the wild would not do so well if fed the same diet and vice versa.

Research your fish and tailor your feeding to suit them and keep their diets varied to ensure they are getting all the nutrients they need and you cant go far wrong.
