Multi-ingredient colour enhacing sinking granules with a high content of krill intended for everyday feeding of omnivorous and carnivorous fish in freshwater and marine tanks. Due to its exceptional palatability, it proves particularly effective with fish used to a staple diet and fish with high nutrional demand except my 3 discus fish. If fed regularly with Krill Gran discus develop splendid coloration, excellent condition and spawn eagerly.

This is a 100 percent correct. May be the 3 will feed if I stop BH and continue krill gran.

I get a tiny pellet version of that I use for corys. I don't care about the colour aspects, since they aren't colourful, but all my fish, even killies, go for Tropical insect based foods. Still, a lot of very hyped high quality prepared foods just don't work with some fish. A flake or pellet eagerly eaten by one species will be scoffed at another with the same dietary requirements. It isn't always predictable.

I watched the tropical food presentation on youtube. Tropical has food products for each continent countries. For e.g. for fish in lake malawi they got a carnivorous feed and a herbivorous feed. That helped me get an idea on my fish tank.

I have no brand loyalties. I keep mainly insectivores, so I look for insect based foods. Tropical and Fluval have the best ones in my local market. There's a company called Northfin with a good formula, but big pellets I have to grind down. They aren't well distributed, and the store where I deliver young fish I've bred sells Tropical pellets and Fluval flakes.

If some of the companies people here swear by were locally distributed, that would be great. They aren't. Buying local is more expensive than online, but feeding my fish costs so much less than feeding my dog that it doesn't matter. I like having a local store.

I'm thinking of why there are no local agents for tropical brand food in sri lanka. The local market in sri lanka are going for quantity over quality products due to no foreign agents and distributions. Tropical feeds have various palatability options for high value nutrition demand for discus and other cichlids, etc.
E.g. the hard granuels and soft granuels has 2 different palatablity for discus lineages bred in setups that are cross bred, line- bred, farm- bred and house bred or captive bred.

This is the reason my 3 discus are skittish and not having a high nutrional demand due to the low quality of the breed.
My spotted leopard male seem to be the best quality of the brood stock. The solid blue female was developing well until several attemps of unfertile eggs causing stress, hexamita and hole in the head due to fighting for dominancy with others, as a result not having high nutrional demands for feeds causing the conditions.
The local discus market uses only beefheart as a staple diet mainly as a commercial purpose. So I rate Tropical and pro JBL nova bits for F1, F2, F3, F4 grade sri lankan discus keepers who wants high demands for nutrional value treats or staple food for their discus to grow and spawn eagerly.
