Hi my male blood parrot has lost his orange colour and is looking a bit white the female is fine both are eating well n showing no signs of illness is this a sign of bredding as they are digging a pit in the gravel

What are your water parameters and tank size?
If they are digging then it could be a sign that their getting ready to breed however most male blood parrots are infertile.

Blood Parrots are crosses of alot of other species, some cichlids lose there colour with age and that is all that is happening, he is perfectly healthy, I bought a dull yellow parrot a while ago which due to its breeding is turning orange as he is ages, all depends on what the parrot haqs is it's line and most of the time it is unknown
