bleaching plants

well i read around the net and this is what i came up with, 1 part bleach 4 parts water i think

how long should i submerge the plant to kill of the algae ? for swords and also a bacopa

I think it's actually 1 part bleach to 19 parts water. Then rinse under running water and then dip in a bucket of water containing a chlorine remover. I'm not exactly sure how long to dip in the bleach, but I wouldn't go over two minutes. If a plant isn't too healthy anyway, it may succumb to this treatment.
