Black Sand

Any ideas where I can buy a large (20kg) bag of black sand from?

I have a 20kg bag of black gravel, but it isn't going to be enough. I can either take a trip down lfs and see if they have any more bags in stock, or order online.

Not 20k but I know Maidenhead stocks black sand, think it's a 2k bag. Try ebay, lots on there or try http/www.onlineaquariumstore.com or http/www.cheappetproducts.net

Thanks, I like this one http/www.onlineaquariumstore.com/acatalog/Caribsea_Tropical_Black_Marine_Sand.html but at £17 for 9kg, it's going to be expensive...Hmm.. I suppose I'll have to get another bag of black gravel, if they have one in stock.

Pity as I'd love black sand, but to get enough for a 3ft squared floor space is costly!

pet supermarket sells it in 25kg bags thats where i got mine delivered from not cheap though £30 including p&p

Thanks, may get some of that. I paid £23.20 for a 20kg bag very fine black gravel, and we collected it. £30.67 for an extra 5kg plus delivery sounds OK. Easily costs us a fiver in fuel going to and from this lfs.

Yeah, I got it from Rat's, Cat's and Elephants near Ipswich
