HI

IV GOT A MASSIVE TANK SO I KNOW IV GOT A ENOUGH SPACE FOR THE FISH

BUT ID LIKE TO KNOW IF IT WILL EAT MY DISCUS(5) OR CORYS(I HAVE ATLEAST 13)

THE BLACK GHOST IM LOOKING AT IS AROUND 7 TO 8 INCHES

ANY IMPUT WILL BE A GREAT HELP

Black Ghost knifefish are supposed to be aggressive with their own kind but peaceful with large tankmates like your discus. Not too sure about the smaller cories though, could be as bottom fish they would be ignored, or, unfortunately they could be gobbled up since they are no doubt smaller...

The general thinking as I know it (others will disagree) is that providing you get a young BGKF he will leave the other inhabitants alone as they recognise them and do not think of them as food. However, as they grow larger, if you add smaller fish then they will be perceived as food and they will hunt them down and you will not see them again. Dont forget BGKF are blind and use electric pulses to find there way around, so anything moving that it doesnt recognise as a tankmate, will go bye bye.

The cories are fairly fast moving and I would say way too large to fit in his mouth at the moment, my BGKF is about 6/7" and has problems swallowing a large piece of prawn - he runs off with it and eats it slowly - so I wouldnt have thought the cories will not be in danger. The discus would definately be no problem, what size are your plecs?

Well, I added a small 4" BKG to my 65 gallon 2 weeks ago and will probably upgrade to a 150 next year. I also have 6 coradora's and so far my BKG does not bother them at all. Hopefully they will all be fine in my tank as my BKG is small. Problem I am having is I have a nice mopani Stump in my tank that I was hoping the BGN would make his home. Well he did and now I dont see him much. Dam Stump  My problem is feeding him as he is kind of new , 2 weeks in my tank and my 2 breeding angels gobble all the food up fast.
My fish load atm with no problems are:
2 Angelfish - lay eggs every 11 days
6 coradoras
2 Clown Loaches
1 Rainbow Shark
1 BGK

Temp him out by placing some food by the entrance to his home, mine was a little shy at first, but he's out an about alot of the day now, certainly doesnt hide away and comes directly to my hand for his food, as he knows its the best way to get any before all the others gobble it all up  I love mine, my fav fish by far :D

2 plecs are around 3/4 inches 1 plecs around 1 half inches and the other at least 5 inches

i really fancy puting the fish in but my catfish and plecs just do such a good job of cleaning the bottom i dnt want to lose them

I've got a 7 inch BGK now which I've had a good while. He was in my sons tank with corys and larger tetras and was fine, I also kept a BGK years ago with discus and he was fine. I'd have no fears of putting a BGK in with corys and discus as they have never struck me as great or aggressive predators unlike the Clown Knife which I have
