Black Ghost Fish

my new ghost fish is staying by the filter is this usuall

Do you have any hiding places for him? What size tank do you have? What other fish are in with him?

Need alot more info i'm afraid nobody could answer a question that short.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type are in the tank.
Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate, and ph.
Has he gone pale, any signs of laboured breathing, or flicking and rubbing on things in the tank.

I have noticed them doing this in LFS but that is because there are no hiding spots for them

Then again my 2 swim around with the rest of the fish where as the last one I had used to live in a log
It may just like it better there then anywhere else in your tank.

Does he still eat and are his colours still right, no fading in the body
