Black And White Theme

Black Skirt and White Skirt Tetras would be good for a Black and White theme and when Mature they have Lovely Veiled Finnage.
Others examples:
Black and White Calico Platties,
Mickey mouse Platties,
Liqourice Gouramies,

Black molly
Too big for a 35 litre tank

Zebra or Leopard Danio
Too active for a 35 litre tank

just get the bigger tank if you can afford it, will make it much easier to find suitable black and white fish, and will be easier to look after and obviously be better in every way ! i just recently got an L168 'flounder' plec, hes black and white, gets to about 5" and was realtively cheap.

C'mon people, the tank is 35 litre, therefore, It would be slightly better if you suggested fish that are actually suitable for the tank

Says she's considering a 3 footer :p

Yea, i read that as well. :good:

Yeh I read that too, however I understand the point Carlove1 is getting at. For someone who happily put Angels in a 35L tank it's probably not the best idea to go and suggest further fish. As we've all seen it happen before where they've just added further fish, not that she will do the same though. I imagine he's just trying to pre-emptively prevent any further incidents of inappropriate stocking.

However I do keep a Molly and 6 Pygmy Corys in a 40L planted tank, the Molly was too aggressive in my community tank so I had to set up a new refuge for him and the only tank I had free was a 40L. Surprisingly s/he has made the tank rather beautiful and brings the Corys to life as they seem to try and shoal with it haha.

Further B&W possibly Pygmy cories as they are Black/Silver.

It's not definate though is it. Also, you've not said the fishes you were suggesting were for the 3 foot tank and she may have got the wrong idea and got the suggested fish for the 35 litre tank

I would also having a look at some of the Dwarf barbs that have started to appear in bigger LFS'.
Like the 5 Banded Dwarf Barb - A temperate water fish that does well in cool and trop temp tanks.

A More spooky looking fish - Blind Cave Fish

Black Phantom Tetras would also Work

Although not black, The Stunning Threadfin Rainbows are a stunning addition to any tank. I think these would really suit a Black/White themed tank, as You can get Black finned Variety. AS the Males mature the Finnage becomes elongated and wispy and the Flaring Dorsal gets a White Tip. The Dominant Male Also Develops a Vivid White/Platinum Thick Line running the Length of its Body from its Upper Jaw to the Tail. You can Also get Red/Blue/Green/Yellow Tailed Varieties and as a School look amazing.

Thanks for the info guys, Still got all 6 fish, guppys are once again pregnant, don't know how i've managed it but i think i also have pregnant angels not sure yet, but one of them is getting rather...chubby, no offense to it.
