Bioloads

i know tetras have a v low bioload. I was wondering what the Bioload of a guppy is?

also Cory's have a good rep for a low bioload even though they spend most of the day scavenging, how is this so?

I would not call a cory a low bioload. They do not produce as much solid waste as their fellow bottom dwellers, the plecos, but they have a heavy body and of course consume a significant amount of food for their length. A guppy, the same length as a cory would produce much less of a biological load. The small tetras like neons have a reputation for a low biological load because the load goes down quickly as the fish get smaller and lighter in body mass. The neons are not only fairly short but are skinny fish so a low bioload is an appropriate way to think of them. The same cannot be said of all tetras.
