What's wrong with this filter?

Apart from taking up space in my juwel what's wrong with it? I've had comments saying to pull it out and that the heater will either get too cold or hot and kill all my fish..

I have the media like so

TOP TRAY
1 x poly pad
1 x carbon sponge
1x nitrax
1 x filter sponge coarse
1 x cirax

BOTTOM TRAY
1x cirax
2 x filter sponge fine

I had the smaller version of the Juwel bio-flow in my 60l with the heater and didn't have any trouble with it. The heater was quite capable, I thought, keeping temps quite constant. Granted, during the hot period I had to adjust it a bit but it did exactly what I asked of it.

The filter does take up space, which is unfortunate, and so an argument could be made for an external but if you're happy with it's performance so far and don't feel the need for am upgrade, just ignore everyone else!
