Hello Fishdom! I am excited to have the biggest goldfish... I have so many goldfish breeds in 5 aquariums. But I am not still satisfied, I want to own the biggest Goldfish on earth. I have found a link that features a very big goldfish in France. Is this true? The picture seems an edited one.

Comments pls... Help me prove that this is a fake Goldfish or a real one.

thank you!

It looks photoshop to me - as the article says the guy is totally unafected by holding that massive fish, if you see similar photos of fishermen they are usually stuggling to hold a fish of that size or its usually 2 or 3 men holding a fish tat size.

I think the current world record holding goldfish is a fish named Bruce that I think is from Japan. Google Bruce the goldfish and you should find him :)

But some people claim that this is true.. Thank you my friend.

I think it might have been faked aswell because His left hand seems to have disappeared. He would have to have it under to stomach to hold that weight in which case you would see his fingers or atleast a big dip where his had is.

I would say without a doubt it is faked. The picture is all wrong. The right hand is not in the correct position, the right size or skin colour.

There is no left hand or pressure against the fish to support the front properly. He is either super strong or otherwise holding something else to photo shop in.

His eyes arn't looking at the fish or the camera which during a photo like this would be odd.

I would say you are OK to go on trying without worrying about this being real.

Kind Regards,

Adam

It looks nothing like a Goldfish anyway, except the fact it is... gold...ish

I think it is possibly a Common Carp, photoshopped. :good:

James.

They are what goldfish cam from. There more golden carp and there closer to normal carp than gold fish that have been inbreed could shapes, colour, tails ,ect. Ive caught then upto 3lb but never seen one that size but dont see why it couldnt happen after all they are a member or the carp family.

I agree it does look fake.
He dosn't seem to be having an trouble holding the fish.

the description says it is believed to be a 30 pound koi carp

so its a koi not a goldifish apparently

but even so photo shopped it has reflection from the tail but no were else

This ones a fair size!

Thank You all Guys! But still some people say that it is true...

looks real enough to me a golden carp

my brother as caught bigger i to have caught
some big carp in the past so no i believe this one
mind you i would like to ask matt hayes ad ask him

I definitely don't believe it is real. It's clearly photoshopped, there are just too many things in that picture that aren't quite right. I would put a large amount of money on the fact that photo isn't genuine.

There is where he is looking, the size of the hand you can see, the hand you can't see, where his arm is that you can see in relation to where his unseen hand would be, the expression on his face, the distance the fish is relative to his body, the outline of the fish is very artificial and the reflection in the water isn't quite right.
