It's true! I cannot wait to see her fry! Like I said, she was a virgin female, and the only other male molly in the tank is a sailfin silver molly, so I know he's the parent too! :0
you have t post some pics of them when there born. one of my mollys has a dalmaton(a really dark one with oly a couple of white patches)sailfin molly for a dad and a orand normal fin and its back is black and half its face it and its belly and the other half its face is orange but its only about 2cm can wait till its older.
Good luck I hope she drops soon.. One of my mollies refused to drop even though a fry was half way out. It was stuck there for a good hour.. I shut off the lights and covered the tank with a towel and within 15 mins she has 20 or so fry in there. The next time I checked on her she finished having them and there were about 50
She might end up having them tonight once the lights go out and everything seems safe!
Ugh, still no babies, I took the towel off and the light back on, she's still just swimming mainly in one spot.
The suspense is killing me! lol I really want to know what the babies will look like!
Gosh, I sure hope so! I put a hood (from my old 20 gallon) it hangs over the sides, but it covers all the tank, so no breeze can get in from my fan, and I put a light on it too from my 2 gallon tank, but if I left the light on during the day, she wouldn't get overheated would she? would the temp still stay the same from my heater? My heater says it keeps a constant temp of 78 C, if the light was on would it make it hotter? or would it be ok still? anyone know?
The temp in my tank is about 80-81.. I doubt the light would make it much hotter in there so i imagine she will be fine.. How is she this morning? Any little fry swimming about?
Hey! No, she still hasn't had them, but since this morning, she's been really still, then she'll swim up and down the side of the tank for a minute, then go hide still in the plants again. weird!
