Bettas Wont Stop Fighting During Breeding

this pair has spawned before but the female ate her children. how can i make them stop fighting?

Maybe she isn't ready to spawn yet, so I would remove her

keep them separate, but so that they can see eachother - - condition them for breeding with top foods and bloodworms - -wait til her stomach seems full of eggs and wait for him to build a huge nest. then try putting them together again. otherwise, by keeping them together you are just going to have stressed, wounded, sick....then possibly dead fish.
