I turned off my filter today as the male was showing no interest in the female as soon as I turned it off he remade his bubble nest within minutes.. Any one got any other advice on enhancing *the mood* for the lovely couple.
Please remember this is my first time mating my betta fish so its not going to be totally perfect.

What is your plan for the babies? And no offense butdo you know how to properly breed bettas? Because conditioning is one of the most important things and you dont even know what it is. Once again, no offense

How did you introduce them to eachother?
They cam from my community tank originally so I put the male in the first night and added the female the next day, but the first female i added attacked him so i removed her and that evening i put a smaller quieter female in and within in about half an hour of introducing the two he had his bubble nest made and she had gone very dark.

As i said in the original post, this is my first time doing it and any of the research i have done has never mentioned conditioning and the breeder i got them from advised me to do it the way i just described and so i have. Im going into him tomorrow to get betta feed from him and more advice. but it never hurts to have more than one source, I have arranged with a few diff breeders that i know localy to take the males off me and some females, im hoping to keep females and maybe a a male for my community tank. As i have always has one but since he is breeding he is in his own tank

you need to codition for atleast 2 weeks fed on a variety of frozen foods peas and flake the male and females shouldnt see each other because she may relise her eggs and eat them nce thats happened she cant breed as she will most likely eat the eggs for ever

when feeding to inform u their stomachs are only the size of their eye so shouldnt be fed loads

not in his own tank! this is his tank and the female will most likely be ripped to shreds as he knows this tank you need to condition him in another tank

they shouldnt be tbh at any point one could turn a destroy the other i recomend seperating even if they have bred
how long have u conditioned them for ? cause the female wont produce eggs just like that she needs time hense the 2 weeks conditioning as well as getting them to top physical breeding condition

conditioning is the most important thing

 Breeding bettas is probably one of the most stressful, time consuming fish to breed. To see it done without proper resources and research.....
