Betta tank.

Use a sponge filter and no white gravel. Place some tall plants in tank for him to rest on and possibly get him a floating betta log. Heater set at 80F. I would buy a betta with a short tail or crown tail. Bettas with beautiful long tails usually bite them for due to being too heavy. :)

Yea, I was thinking either a wild or a short tail.

I love that you chose a bigger tank for your betta! Imo the bigger the better (within reason of course). Remember to get your betta a heater for their tank, a hidey hole or two, and some plants to swim around in. Make sure any decor you get doesn’t have any sharp edges or small holes they could try to peek through and get stuck in. Best of luck with your new friend!
