The bettas are fantastic

God, she was so funny. She cared about the bettas a lot, too - whenever she would bag one up that didn't look perky (or in one case, one that had gill flukes!), she would tell the new owner and suggest treatment. Very cool. (I ws one of those gals - I got a beautiful, tiny copper plakat that has clamped fins, and she immediately pulled me aside after bagging him and told me to treat him with some copper when I got home. He's looking better now.Sorrell said:Speaking of, during the auction Marianne Lewis (bcbetta) was bidding on a fish and it was going twice in her favor and someone in the back throws up a bid....She yells "Back off!" in her thick french accent, so it was more like "Buck off!" She was hilarious, and you should have seen how fast she could bag those fish![]()

If I'm not mistaken, I believe she told another competing bidder to "sod off".She was too funny, and it was neat to meet her.
Sorrell - glad to hear you got home with no major airport activity! And I hope you have a great time in Tahoe.
