Betta Live Food

So curious if its ok to feed Oscar some guppy fry I put a couple in there and he loved them. Didn't know if anyone else had luck with male betta's loving fry.

if they can find them and catch them, they'll surely eat them. been wanting to do this myself. seems a much more "natural" diet than pellets, even if mine do get live tubifex worms(i have my own culture) and frozen blood worms once in a while.

What led me to do it. Oscar is a bit picky with food he'll sometimes eat the pellets other times no, loves blood worms but I only feed him those 3 times a week to prevent constipation. Got Brine shrimp growing now to use as live food so I decided to try a few guppy fry, since I got so many and planned on using some as food for my fish anyway, and he loved them. One he got quickly then the other he had fun swimming around the tank flaring at it till he caught it as well. Seems I may have found the food he will actually eat consistently.

awesome! well with three hingry betta boys to feed, i might just have to start a guppy breeding program!
