Hi all, my dad is thinking of upgrading to a new tank and he needs to know if these fish will be ok in the tank.

1 Black Ghost Knife, 3 Angel fish, 2 Tiger oscars, 2 severums

thanks
P.S he says he might wait to see how things turn out in my 240 litre

The angels look like victims in that stocking to me. They tend to be rather slow, passive and light bodied fish and the oscars and severums are large heavy bodied fish.

If you had full grown oscars and severums, they might not suffer much for long but they would quickly become snacks.

The tank is a bit small for all those fish I would guess
i'd drop to 2 cichlids at least. I had one oscar in a 4 foot tank (90 gallons) and nothing else would've survived in there.
this tank is 125 gallons so I'd say a maximum of 2 of the mentionned fish.
pairing cichlids could be very dangerous as well if they actually pair up and start spawning. they will wreck the tank up, possibly including the heater and filter intakes.

my suggestion would be 1 oscar and 1 frontosa
if you want 2 of the same, go for the severums as it is the least agressive fish mentionned

i think you can definitely get away with more than 2 of those fish, 3 for sure maybe all of them. 125 gallons is a lot of space, and oscars in most cases aren't overly aggressive. i don't know too much about Frontosa's, but i have heard they are pretty peaceful. i personally would go with only one oscar though, since they are so messy / dirty.

BGK would starve - wouldn't compete with the cichlids for food.

Oscar most likely, personally wouldn't risk one with big bolshy cichlids.

what are the dimensions of the tank? fire eels get BIG and need a lot of space.
