Hello all,

Things have been quiet on the Betta front for me lately so I haven't been posting much lately. However today is pretty exciting for me. I received a young pair of Mouthbrooding Betta Kapuas through the IBC SMP program (actually the VP of our local chapter got several pairs of 3 different species and asked other members to take some of the pairs, so I took this pair). They are settling in nicely in their new tank and just had their first meal, live daphnia :) They are happily eating up all the little critters now.

The plan is for them to eventually spawn and I will be keeping records per the SMP request. I'll keep you all updated as to their progress. They are still a bit young and I've been told it could be a month or so before they are ready to spawn.

They're not much to look at but I'll try and get some pictures in a day or two after they've had time to settle down after their long trips.

Linda
