Betta in with these?

I have a 10gallon with platys, mollys,and catfish. I would like to know if a beta would get along with these fish.
Also of my mollys have long fins. Will the beta nip at their fins?

I don's see a problem with that but a pic of one of your mollies might help a lil bit...

I would have to disagree Long finned fish can often be perceived by a betta to be a threat and he might hound the mollies. My betta hounded my clow loach and absolutely hated my guppies but my betta is particulary active and many people have been amazed that my betta was agressive towards all other fish I would say try it and see but be ready to remove the Betta immediatley in case things go wrong. Tell us how you do

I tried mollies and a betta .....My Betta Elvis scared my mollies(flaring) and chased them around not only did he chase them but he knocked them with his fins!
He would do a "swim by" --- as he swam past the mollie he would flip his fins and knock them to the side!!!
I would not advise it.

at the moment I have 2 tanks, 1 180l and 1 70l. Both with community fish, 180 has about 7 platties, 2 angles and the betta they are fine.

The 70l has another angel, 1 red thin shark, 2 khuli loaches and 10 neon tetras, 4 hatchets, they also get along fine, the only worry is things like tiger barbs, mollies eem to pick on the fins, etc.

I actually put my smallest betta in our large breeder tank and tried him in our community tank and although he didn't show the slightest bit of interest in our mollies, the mollies on the other hand kept attacking the breeder tank. it might be that they usually only see the small fry in the tank and now they had this larger fish, i don't know but he has his own 1gal tank now because I felt bad about the whole experience.

I have a male Betta in with black mollies and red wag platys' and they all get along fine, the molly nipped at the bettas fins once or twice but that was it.

I just joined this site, and Im new to this whole thing, I wasnt aware of the date....but oh well, people responded.
