i have 2 female fighter fish, 2 days ago theyve built a buble nest or laid eggs, there both really big but they bump is like under there head and back a tad,the first fins underneath is were the big bump is,theres no male so what should i do.they wont hatch will they as theres no male.

girls sometimes get eggy when theres no male around
they'll probably lay the eggs then eat them. one day they'll just be skinny again!
what size tank do you have the 2 girls in?
having a pair of girls often results in aggression issues.

15 gallon but im going to get more.so should i remove the eggs to a smaller tank,

If there is no male and you are certain both are female then the eggs are not fertile and will fungus or be eaten . If the female does not eat the eggs then just throw them out.

Are you sure they are both girls? It can sometimes be difficult to tell. I have bought girls from Lfs only to find that at least one is a male!

shou;d i go and get a male. would he be happy in my tank
tetras
rtbs
albino shark
gournamis
2 female fighters
shrimp

No. Please don't keep a male with the females. They will fight. Also, generally do not do very well in a community tank. Your females should be fine, even if laid eggs. You would be better to get another 3 or 4 females to even out the agression. There may be a bit of bickering to start with, as the pecking order is sorted out, but after that should be fine.
I have 5 females in my community tank and 7 in a sorority tank. They all get on well. :good:

I agree with jollysue 100%.

Here's why, for one the ONLY time you want to put a male betta and a female betta in the same tank is for breeding purposes. And that requires lots of time, money, effort and research.

Also, tetras are known to be fin nibblers and will probably chase your betta (not good). If you want a male betta put him in a separate tank (bare minimum 1 gallon...though bigger can't hurt ;) )

i dont reall have any room
mine dont fight though.
should i put the eggs in another tank?

The eggs are not fertile and will therefore not hatch. You may as well leave them for the fish to eat. You can take them out and throw them away if they go mouldy first. :good:

If they were fertile they would hatch in approx 24 to 36 hours, but they would be up in the bubble nest, where the male would put them, not on the floor of the tank.
You do seem to be interested in this, why not have a read up on 'breeding bettas'. It is a fascinating subject and quite challenging to do. Not so easy as putting a few guppies together and hey presto, babies! But not to be tried in a community tank though. :good:

To be honest, unless you're really done your homework, I wouldn't suggest trying to get the eggs to hatch....It doesn't hurt the female at all if they don't breed...They'll produce eggs, drop them, and when they drop them they will either A: eat the unfertalized eggs B: leave them alone (which is where you come in, just remove them)

To answer your question though...if the eggs were fertile (which they aren't) they would take around 2-3 days to hatch. But again, I would strongly suggest _not_ attempting to breed your fish....(1 spawn can give you up to 500 baby betta fry....just to give you an idea of what i meant by
And that requires lots of time, money, effort and research.

To top that off, I'm assuming (though I could be wrong) that these are petstore betta females? It is usually advised to not breed these particularly because you don't know about there genetics at all, there are hundreds, maybe thousands of petstore bettas dying in cups everyday....

Just stick to the 2 girls you have (maybe get a 3rd so 1 isn't ganging up on the other) and just let them drop the unfertalized eggs.
