Had my Betta for over a year and I hate to say I really began to get poor with regular maintenance. I recently had surgery and have been struggling with my large tank as it is. There was a lot of algae and his fins looked shredded. His tank was tucked away in the dark corner of the kitchen and was often out of sight.
Recently I rearranged the living room and popped him in front of the sofa. I gave his tank a really good clean and added in some decor from my other tank so as not to disrupt the cycle (I obviously didn’t clean the existing filter) so should be okay.
I feel terrible, but after giving him the attention required (more varied diet, frequent water changes as well as some melafix) he once again looks great!
Just wanted to show him off. He is now just as much something to show off as my main tank!
